It consists of pre accelerating anode, focusing anode and second accelerating anode. The anodes are cylindrical in shape and connected to high positive voltage in decreasing order from left to right.
So due to high potential difference between the anodes, electrostatic lens are formed. The electrons get converged through these lenses to produce sharp spot on the screen.
The focal point of the lens can be changed by changing the +ve voltage on focusing anode.
